Course Name: Certificate in Surveying
Course Id: CIS/Q1001.
Eligibility: 10th Grade (High School) or Equivalent.
Objective: A Certificate in Surveying is a professional course designed to equip individuals with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in land surveying, mapping, and geospatial data collection. The program focuses on using modern surveying instruments, techniques, and software for measuring land, property boundaries, and topographical features.
Duration: Three Month.
How to Enroll and Get Certified in Your Chosen Course:
Step 1: Choose the course you wish to get certified in.
Step 2: Click on the “Enroll Now” button.
Step 3: Proceed with the enrollment process.
Step 4: Enter your billing details and continue to course fee payment.
Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:
Debit/Credit Card, Wallet, Paytm, Net Banking, UPI, or Google Pay.
Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.
Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.
Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.
Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.
Online Examination Detail:
Duration- 60 minutes.
No. of Questions- 30. (Multiple Choice Questions).
Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.
There is no negative marking in this module.

Chain and Compass Surveying: Introduction to Chain Surveying, Instruments Used in Chain Surveying, Ranging and Chaining Techniques, Types of Chains and Tapes, Methods of Traversing, Chain Survey Errors and Corrections, Introduction to Compass Surveying, Types of Compasses and Their Uses, Magnetic Declination and Corrections, Plotting and Map Preparation.
Levelling and Contouring: Principles of Levelling, Types of Levelling Instruments, Methods of Levelling, Levelling Errors and Corrections, Benchmarking and Reduced Levels, Contouring Principles and Applications, Methods of Contour Surveying, Contour Interpolation and Representation, Use of Contours in Civil Engineering, Digital Elevation Models.

Total Station and Electronic Distance Measurement (EDM): Introduction to Total Station, Components and Working of Total Station, Data Collection and Processing, Setting Up and Operating Total Station, Electronic Distance Measurement (EDM) Principles, Errors in EDM and Their Corrections, GPS and GIS Integration with Total Station, Surveying with Total Station in Urban Planning, Remote Sensing Applications in Surveying, Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) Surveying.
Plane Table and Tacheometric Surveying: Principles of Plane Table Surveying, Instruments and Accessories in Plane Table Surveying, Methods of Plane Table Surveying, Errors in Plane Table Surveying and Adjustments, Applications of Plane Table Surveying, Introduction to Tacheometry, Principles and Methods of Tacheometric Surveying, Stadia and Tangential Methods, Tacheometric Surveying Applications.
