Course Name: Certificate in Receptionist & Telephone Etiquette
Course Id: CRTE/Q0101.
Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent is required.
Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Receptionist & Telephone Etiquette course is to equip learners with the skills and confidence required to manage front office operations and handle telephone communications professionally. The course covers key topics such as greeting and assisting visitors, managing appointments, maintaining records, operating a telephone exchange, transferring calls, taking messages accurately, and providing prompt responses.
Duration: Three Months.
 How to Enroll and Get Certified in Your Chosen Course:
 Step 1: Choose the course you wish to get certified in.
 Step 2: Click on the “Enroll Now” button.
 Step 3: Proceed with the enrollment process.
 Step 4: Enter your billing details and continue to course fee payment.
 Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:
Debit/Credit Card, Wallet, Paytm, Net Banking, UPI, or Google Pay.
 Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.
 Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.
 Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.
 Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.

Duration- 60 minutes.
No. of Questions- 30. (Multiple Choice Questions).
Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.

Module 1: Introduction to Front Office and Reception Duties: Role and importance of a receptionist, Responsibilities of front desk staff, Grooming and professional appearance, Creating a welcoming environment, Managing visitor log and appointments, Coordination with departments, Handling walk-in guests and inquiries, Office layout and reception setup, Time management at the front desk, Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Module 2: Communication Skills and Public Interaction: Verbal and non-verbal communication, Speaking clearly and confidently, Active listening and responding politely, Greeting and addressing visitors properly, Body language and facial expressions, Dealing with diverse customers, Cross-cultural communication basics, Handling difficult or angry clients, Email and written communication etiquette, Customer-first attitude and empathy.
Module 3: Telephone Handling and Etiquette: Telephone system operations and setup, Answering and transferring calls professionally, Taking and delivering messages accurately, Screening and routing calls, Voicemail usage and etiquette, Handling multiple calls efficiently, Dealing with crank or abusive calls, Telephone scripts and standard responses, Tone modulation and clarity, Do’s and don’ts of professional calling.

Module 5: Computer Skills for Receptionists: MS Word – letter typing and formatting, MS Excel – maintaining contact and visitor lists, Email usage – composing, forwarding, and responding, Calendar and appointment management using Outlook, Internet browsing and company website navigation, Using receptionist/front desk software or CRM tools, Printing, scanning and copying tasks, Data accuracy and entry speed, Creating forms and feedback sheets, Digital communication tools (Zoom, Google Meet).
