Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent is required.
Objective: The Certificate in Mutual Fund Counsellor course is designed for aspiring financial advisors, insurance agents, bank personnel, and anyone looking to build a career in mutual fund distribution and investment advisory. It provides foundational knowledge of mutual funds, market functioning, and client advisory processes in line with regulatory standards.
Duration: Three Months.
How to Enroll and Get Certified in Your Chosen Course:
Step 1: Choose the course you wish to get certified in.
Step 2: Click on the “Enroll Now” button.
Step 3: Proceed with the enrollment process.
Step 4: Enter your billing details and continue to course fee payment.
Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:
Debit/Credit Card, Wallet, Paytm, Net Banking, UPI, or Google Pay.
Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.
Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.
Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.
Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.

No. of Questions- 30. (Multiple Choice Questions).
Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.

Module 1: Introduction to Mutual Funds: Definition and concept of mutual funds, History and evolution of mutual funds in India, Structure of a mutual fund (AMC, trustee, sponsor), Types of mutual funds (equity, debt, hybrid, etc.), Open-ended vs closed-ended funds, Advantages and disadvantages of mutual funds, Key stakeholders in mutual fund operations, NAV and its calculation, Regulatory framework (SEBI, AMFI), Mutual fund investment vs other investment options.
Module 2: Mutual Fund Products and Features: Equity mutual funds and their types, Debt mutual funds and their types, Hybrid and solution-oriented funds, Index funds and ETFs, Fund of funds and international funds, SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) and SWP (Systematic Withdrawal Plan), Load structure (entry load, exit load), Expense ratio and its impact, Risk-return characteristics of different funds, Understanding scheme-related documents.
Module 3: Investor Profiling and Goal-Based Planning: Risk profiling of investors, Financial goal identification and classification, Asset allocation strategies, Time horizon and investment suitability, Matching mutual fund schemes with investor goals, Investment planning for retirement, education, and wealth creation, Importance of diversification, Building model portfolios, Investor behavioral biases, Case studies in goal-based investing.
