Objective: The Certificate in Industrial Safety and Environmental Management course is designed to train individuals in maintaining a safe work environment and protecting ecological balance in industrial operations. Module 1: Introduction to Industrial Safety and Environment: Definition and scope of industrial safety, Importance of environmental management in industries, Types of industrial accidents and hazards, Environmental pollution and its impact, Safety terms and definitions, Roles of safety and environment officers, Safety and environmental compliance requirements, Overview of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), Environmental sustainability concepts, Case studies on industrial safety failures.

Module 2: Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene: Workplace hazards and health risks, Principles of industrial hygiene, Monitoring and control of airborne contaminants, Ergonomics and human factors in workplace design, Noise and vibration control, Heat stress and thermal environment, Occupational illnesses and prevention, Personal protective equipment (PPE), Industrial ventilation systems, Workplace health surveillance and records.
