Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent is required.
Objective: The Certificate in Industrial Safety and Environmental Management course is designed to train individuals in maintaining a safe work environment and protecting ecological balance in industrial operations. The course focuses on identifying workplace hazards, managing risks, promoting environmental sustainability, and adhering to safety and environmental laws.
Duration: Three Months.
How to Enroll and Get Certified in Your Chosen Course:
Step 1: Choose the course you wish to get certified in.
Step 2: Click on the “Enroll Now” button.
Step 3: Proceed with the enrollment process.
Step 4: Enter your billing details and continue to course fee payment.
Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:
Debit/Credit Card, Wallet, Paytm, Net Banking, UPI, or Google Pay.
Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.
Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.
Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.
Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.

Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.

Module 1: Introduction to Industrial Safety and Environment: Definition and scope of industrial safety, Importance of environmental management in industries, Types of industrial accidents and hazards, Environmental pollution and its impact, Safety terms and definitions, Roles of safety and environment officers, Safety and environmental compliance requirements, Overview of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), Environmental sustainability concepts, Case studies on industrial safety failures.
Module 2: Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene: Workplace hazards and health risks, Principles of industrial hygiene, Monitoring and control of airborne contaminants, Ergonomics and human factors in workplace design, Noise and vibration control, Heat stress and thermal environment, Occupational illnesses and prevention, Personal protective equipment (PPE), Industrial ventilation systems, Workplace health surveillance and records.
Module 3: Fire, Electrical and Chemical Safety: Fire prevention principles and classes of fire, Firefighting equipment and procedures, Chemical hazards and safety data sheets (MSDS), Safe storage and handling of chemicals, Emergency response for chemical spills, Electrical safety rules and safe practices, Lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures, Static electricity and grounding, Safety signs and hazard communication, Case studies of chemical and electrical accidents.
Module 4: Risk Assessment and Safety Management Systems: Hazard identification and risk analysis (HIRA), Job safety analysis (JSA), Risk matrix and prioritization, Hierarchy of hazard control, Introduction to ISO 45001 and OHSAS 18001, Safety audits and inspections, Permit to work (PTW) system, Reporting and investigation of incidents, Safety performance indicators (KPIs), Continuous improvement in safety culture.
Module 5: Environmental Management and Pollution Control: Air, water, and soil pollution – causes and control, Waste management techniques and recycling, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Management System (EMS) – ISO 14001, Energy conservation and green technologies, Noise pollution control measures, Sustainable development practices, Environmental audits and monitoring, Regulatory framework and environmental laws, Climate change and industrial responsibility.
Module 6: Emergency Planning and Legal Compliance: Emergency preparedness and response planning, Disaster management in industrial settings, Evacuation procedures and mock drills, Roles and responsibilities during emergencies, Coordination with local authorities and services, First aid and trauma care basics, Safety and environmental legal framework, Indian Factories Act and Environment Protection Act, Documentation and record-keeping, Building safety and environmental awareness culture.
