Objective: The Certificate in Business Law and Legal Aspects of Management is designed to equip learners with essential knowledge of the legal framework governing business activities and managerial practices. The course covers major areas such as the Indian Contract Act, Companies Act, Consumer Protection laws, Sale of Goods Act, and relevant aspects of labor laws and corporate governance. It also introduces legal procedures related to business formation, operations, compliance, and dispute resolution.

• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.
Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.

Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.

Module 1: Introduction to Business Law: Definition and nature of business law, Sources of Indian business law, Classification of law (civil, criminal, corporate), Role of law in business operations, Importance of legal compliance in management, Law-making process in India, Legal framework for business entities, Common legal terms and definitions, Relationship between law and ethics in business, Overview of legal environment for businesses.
Module 2: Indian Contract Act, 1872: Definition and essentials of a valid contract, Types of contracts (void, voidable, contingent), Offer and acceptance, Consideration and capacity to contract, Free consent and legality of object, Performance and discharge of contracts, Breach of contract and remedies, Quasi-contracts and contingent contracts, Contracts of indemnity and guarantee, Bailment, pledge and agency.
Module 3: Company Law and Corporate Governance: Types of companies and their formation, Memorandum and Articles of Association, Prospectus and share capital structure, Director’s duties and responsibilities, Corporate meetings and resolutions, Company secretary’s legal role, Corporate social responsibility (CSR), Corporate governance principles and practices, Registrar of Companies (ROC) compliance, Winding up and liquidation of companies.
